Spring is in the air! The birds are singing and the flowers are blooming.

It’s time for a fresh start and here are five great tips to get you going.

A blooming good idea!
When you receive a bouquet of spring flowers, do you keep the vase? You’ll be amazed how many you’ve got when you bring them all together. Pick a few of your favourites– the rest, recycle or donate. And smell the roses!

It’s a snap to let it go!
Do you have something that you don’t use anymore (like grandma’s chair) but find it emotionally hard to part with? Take a picture of yourself with it and then let it go.

Thinking of moving? Start doing a little downsizing by sharing. For example, if you won’t have room for all your crystal stemware, wrap up a few glasses and a bottle of wine as a gift to a friend or family member.

A step in the right direction.
Go through the shoes and winter boots in your closet. Try them all on and keep only those that are comfortable and still look fashionable. If you have 15 good pairs then this is your number. When you buy a new pair this Spring it’s time for an old pair to go. It’s good for the sole!

Too many frogs?
Ceramic frogs, owls, tea cups, bunnies – we all love collecting things. But if the collection is overwhelming you, keep a few of your most favourite, and give the others away as gifts. Hop to it!
